KLCC is my everyday place from morning till dawn; thus I think I should have kinda consolidated post on dining list there.
You've many choices of restaurants, bistros and cafes there, but these are some of them that I can recommend through my experience:
- San Francisco Steakhouse: Lots of choices, very good taste, mix of medium & medium-high prices, quite late service
- Little Penang: Quite lots of local food here, but seems like there's nothing new to add, good taste, medium-low price. Always had a long queue during weekdays lunch hour. Special there is Fried Kuey Tiaw and the steam rice set.
- Bumbu Desa: Lots of choices for Indonesian (Padang & Minang food), medium-high price. If you spent above RM50 on your first time, you can be a member to get 20% discount on your birthday month. The "sambal ijo" was really hot but nice to have!
- Chakri Palace: We were there during fasting month, we found it worth the money paid. RM77/pax and you got everything there (local food)!
- Chili's Grill & Bar: Nobody will miss this place. All Chili's restaurant promise the same good taste and big portion with its medium-high price. Since it has lots of old & new customers, your name will always be in a waiting list to be seated.
- Dome Cafe: Lots of choice, but there's only two options for local meal i.e. Nasi Lemak and Fish Asam Pedas. The best treat here is the beef pie for sure. Also medium-high price.
- Madam Kwan's: "Nasi Bojari" is its signature, yes it's good! Best desert here is Banana Fritters with Ice Cream. Medium-high price.
- Miss Kwan's: Just a few steps from Madam Kwan's, same but limited menu like Madam's. This is self-service style but can be a substitute if you can't find seat at Madam's and you want to be quick and easy.
Lots more dining restaurant at KLCC; refer Suria KLCC website for more detail.
Food in Malaysia
I've travelled a lot as I like travelling, but I was not into food blogging until I realised how it helps when you're out of idea where to eat. Well, it's never too late to start a new blog on food although some others have started long ago. Viewers may get different views of different places from different blogs~

Alexis Ampang
The "Alexis" that I went to was at Great Eastern Mall, Ampang. Since I was full after lunch that day, my husband and I just had two pieces of cake i.e. Chocolate Nutty Meringue (as pic below - its best if the nuts are well roasted) and Chocolate Banana (so sweet). The price is medium-high, but overall can be rated high as well as they have lots of food choices from local to western! There should be a live performance, but since it was a Sunday afternoon, there wasn't any; still, the ambience was cool~
Harrods KLCC
"Harrods KLCC" is small, just selling half of Harrods' signature plus marvellous food with its expected excellent service. The price is high. I had my birthday treat with my friend here, had two plates of Fish & Chip (big portion), one mineral water and one latte. Total cost was RM150+. Oh btw, you'll be given a free starter before meal- buns with home-made whole tomato sauce and butter; it's great!

Poyo
"Poyo" is a Malay youth slang usually used to describe something that sounds big and great but actually... mmm can be yes or no. Well I think somehow it shown in this restaurant, not through the well-taste of the food, but the presentations of the restaurant itself. Well it looks great with the "teh tarik" promotion (as below pic). The price is medium-low with great choices of food.
Should try if you wanna have a quick & simple dinner :)

On The Table
"On The Table" is awesome. It's owned by Chef Riz who is the son of Malaysian celebrity chef, Chef Wan. The menu is quite limited but the taste is marvellous, so goes the plating. Price is medium-high, which is about RM20++ for a plate of Malay cuisine. Below is a photo of starters during fasting month. They looked temptating, aren't they? Just imagine how the main meal looked like... more and more temptating!
Have a try, guys!
